The Sacred Thread of Yoga
The Sacred Thread of Yoga is a Festival of gratitude. Many Esteemed Presenters from all over the world will be gathering together to express their profound gratitude for their subject. They will salute the Ancient Teachers who have transmitted the 'sacred thread of knowledge' down through the ages.
The classes at the Festival are an expression of gratitude and respect, from each teacher, in honor of those who preceded them who kept the subject alive over the aeons. They together celebrate the yajnopavita or sacred thread, worn by the teachers or acharyas of India. It links those who have been inspired and blessed by the sacred gift of yoga to those who inspired and blessed them.
5-Day Iyengar Yoga Intensive

The first part of the Festival, is a 5-Day Iyengar Yoga Intensive, Monday 11 to Friday 15. The Assembled Faculty is a collection of Advanced Certificate Holders, Teacher Trainers, Moderators and Assessors from all over the world. They have each been running teachers' training programs and assessing and moderating for at least two decades. The level of classes offered range from 'Mild', which are intended for beginners and the less experienced or those who are restricted, to the 'Intense', intended for the accomplished. Classes are also offered for those new to the Iyengar style and those who are familiar with it. There is something for every age, expertise, and level of ability.
