The Sacred Thread of Yoga: October 11 to 17, 2010

Thank you for your interest in the "Sacred Thread of Yoga", a Festival to be held in Fort Mason, San Francisco, California, October 11 to 17, 2010.
Early registrants receive both the early booking discount and priority in selecting Festival classes. They will be able to select classes with their favorite Presenters as soon as the Catalog is printed in October (2009). General registration (for other participants) will not be available until April 2010. Since class sizes in the Festival village of sacred tents are being kept small, early booking is advisable.
The "Sacred Thread of Yoga" Festival expresses gratitude for yoga. It will salute the Ancient Teachers who have transmitted the sacred thread of knowledge down through the ages, and from teacher to student. The Presenters are offering their class topics as a way of expressing the gratitude and respect they feel to those who taught them and introduced them to the blessings and inspiration of Spirit.
The first part of the Festival, Monday October 11 to Friday October 15 2010, will be a 5-Day Iyengar Yoga Intensive. Amongst the most accomplished and experienced yoga teachers active today, this Faculty is a collection of Advanced Certificate Holders, Teacher Trainers, Moderators and Assessors from all over the world and who have each been running teachers' training programs, assessing and moderating for two decades at least.
The second part of the Festival runs from Friday October 15 to Sunday October 17. It is an Open Weekend featuring some of the best known names in yoga. Drawn from all around the world they are the exceptional and well-renowned teachers who were at one time the students of exceptional and well-renowned teachers. They are anxious to express thanks and to give gratitude for the light and the inspiration that was passed on to them.
