Class Description:

As in asanas, it is Tadasana that is the great teacher of standing poses; so in Pranayama, it is the Ujjayi breath and its variations that are the foundations for more advanced and intricate pranayama exercises. Also the well mastered and performed Ujjayi breath also allows the smooth incorporation of the breath into the practice of asanas.

This class will focus of the varieties and subtleties of Ujjayi breathing.

Bring 1-2 blankets and your mat.

The class begins with an Opening Ritual, moves to the body of the class, and ends with a Closing Ritual.
